Job Title: Senior AEM Forms Developer
Location: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AEM Forms Developer with deep expertise in Adaptive Forms, AEM 6.5/AEMaaCS, OSGi development, workflows, and backend integrations. The ideal candidate will design, develop, modernize, and optimize digital forms and document workflows using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Forms at an enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities AEM Forms Development

  • Design and develop Adaptive Forms, XDP/XFA-based forms, and custom AEM components.

  • Build and configure Form Data Models (FDM) with REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and third-party systems.

  • Develop Document of Record (DoR) templates and automated document generation workflows.

  • Implement AEM OSGi services, servlets, custom code, scripts, and form validation rules.

  • Modernize legacy PDF/XFA forms into Adaptive Forms.

Workflow & Automation

  • Build and optimize AEM Workflows (OSGi Workflows and Processes).

  • Implement Correspondence Management (CM), form submission handling, prefill/post-submit logic.

  • Integrate automated document services including PDF manipulation and signing workflows.

Integration & Backend Connectivity

  • Integrate AEM Forms with backend systems via REST, SOAP, JSON/XML, OAuth/SAML authentication.

  • Configure data binding, form rules, dynamic form behavior, and API-driven data models.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize data flow across enterprise applications.

Architecture & Performance

  • Provide technical leadership on AEM 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service solutioning.

  • Implement performance tuning and security best practices for large Adaptive Forms.

  • Optimize clientlibs, caching, dispatcher, and rendering performance.

DevOps & Delivery

  • Manage code using Maven, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and Cloud Manager.

  • Support CI/CD pipelines for AEM deployments.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews, unit tests, and UAT support.

Required Skills

  • 7 12+ years of overall experience with strong background in Java, Sling, OSGi, JCR, HTL/Sightly.

  • Minimum 3 5 years of hands-on experience with AEM Forms (Adaptive Forms + Workflows).

  • Expert knowledge of:

    • Adaptive Forms

    • Form Data Models (FDM)

    • XFA/XDP, AEM Designer

    • AEM Workflows (OSGi)

    • DoR (Document of Record)

    • Custom components & clientlibs

  • Strong API integration experience (REST/SOAP).

  • Strong understanding of AEM architecture, dispatcher, permissions, and security.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).

  • Correspondence Management experience.

  • Adobe Sign / eSignature integrations.

  • Experience in healthcare, banking, government, or insurance forms processing.

  • Knowledge of Workfront/Fusion is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-facing abilities.

  • Ability to lead discussions, guide junior developers, and work in agile teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
