About the Opportunity

iSphere, a well-established IT consulting firm based in Texas, is seeking a seasoned Instructor Trainer for a 3+ month contract position in Austin, TX. If you have a proven background in developing and delivering high-quality training programs across a wide range of IT systems and software environments especially in cloud-based and enterprise applications this is a prime opportunity.

This position will support the Grants Management System (GMS) project, an enterprise application built on Salesforce, and will involve both the creation and delivery of role-based and scenario-based training content for internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led and web-based training programs, including job aids, video tutorials, webinars, and e-learning modules.

• Deliver high-quality technical training to both technical and non-technical audiences on topics including:

  • Software usage

  • IT system installation

  • Programming procedures

  • Security protocols

  • Remote access tools and support procedures

• Lead classroom-based, remote, and hybrid training initiatives using a variety of media and learning tools.

• Collaborate with internal departments to gather technical information and translate it into accessible, actionable learning content.

• Develop instructor materials such as course outlines, background content, and scenario-based learning exercises.

• Assist with formatting, accessibility compliance, and consistency in training documentation created by other staff.

• Provide feedback and data to improve training effectiveness and learner retention.

• Deliver training sessions in compliance with EIR Accessibility standards and inclusive best practices for users requiring assistive technologies.

• Support productivity reporting and identify improvements through training across multiple departments.

Project-Specific Scope

• Work with the Administrative Applications Grants Management System team to deliver training related to a Salesforce-based solution.

• Create and manage training materials for internal users, system administrators, and external users.

• Provide written documentation, recorded sessions, and in-person training as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

• 8+ years designing, developing, and implementing training curricula

• 5+ years leading instructor-led classes related to software, IT systems, or technical support processes

• Strong experience with:

  • Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • e-Learning authoring tools

  • Web-based training delivery

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or newer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Flexible, fast learner able to grasp and teach a wide variety of software systems

• Experience training on cloud-based technologies is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field

• Familiarity with Salesforce-based systems, technical documentation, and user support best practices

• Experience working in or with state agencies or grant management systems

• Strong presentation and facilitation abilities in virtual and live environments

• Excellent writing and editing skills for manuals, guides, and job aids
