Job Details



This Systems Administrator role sits within the Technology Systems Infrastructure department of our client's Americas Division, with a focus on supporting capital markets and securities businesses. The position is integral to ensuring the reliable operation of distributed computing systems, working in close partnership with engineering, helpdesk, and business teams.


Responsibilities



  • Serve as the bridge between helpdesk and Distributed Computing Engineering to resolve infrastructure issues, escalating as needed.

  • Triage and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support incidents in a timely manner.

  • Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with engineers on permanent fixes.

  • Address Morning Checkout issues and contribute to improving monitoring and reporting processes.

  • Document issue resolutions and procedures in a central knowledge base.

  • Manage tickets and workflow using ServiceNow.

  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to assess and advise on infrastructure-related problems and requirements.

  • Execute assigned Distributed Computing projects and operational tasks.

  • Support audits by reporting and resolving items related to systems under your care.

  • Periodically assist with physical hardware tasks including rack, stack, and equipment moves.

  • Work outside regular business hours when necessary to support critical functions.


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or end-user support roles.

  • Proficiency with:


    • Microsoft Active Directory (user, group, and computer management)

    • Windows Server/Desktop OS, registry, Group Policy, NTFS/share permissions

    • Microsoft SCCM, Office, SharePoint, and Teams

    • Citrix Workspace/XenDesktop

    • VMware vSphere

    • Core networking concepts such as DNS and DHCP


  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • High urgency and responsiveness, especially in trading floor environments.

  • Strong multitasking and project delivery capabilities.

  • Ability to follow structured processes while also identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Capable of documenting procedures, requirements, and test plans.

  • Strong aptitude for translating business needs into technical solutions.

  • Collaborative, team-first mindset.

  • Experience with the following technologies and tools is a plus:


    • Varonis DatAdvantage/Data Privilege

    • Infoblox DNS/DHCP Management

    • Enterprise Backups (Commvault, Rubrik)

    • Ivanti Security Controls

    • IBM MQ

    • Performance monitoring tools

    • Advanced network troubleshooting (e.g., Wireshark)
