Senior IT Project Manager Maximo Cloud Redeployment (Contract)

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead a campus-wide redeployment of Maximo to a cloud-based version, supporting multiple facilities units. This is a hands-on role managing planning, scheduling, and delivery in coordination with the PMO, IT teams, functional leads, and the implementation partner. The PM will oversee design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live activities, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the project plan, milestones, and dependencies for the Maximo cloud migration
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders, leadership, and vendors; lead status and steering meetings
• Coordinate workshops, UAT, and training schedules; ensure smooth knowledge transfer
• Manage risks, issues, and change control; escalate as needed
• Produce status reports, dashboards, and documentation for all phases of the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 7+ years of IT project management experience, leading enterprise software implementations
• Expertise in IBM Maximo or other EAM/CMMS systems; cloud migration experience preferred
• PMP certification required; strong SDLC and waterfall methodology experience
• Proven vendor management and cross-department stakeholder coordination skills
• Excellent planning, organization, and communication abilities

Other Details

• Travel within the U.S. required; typical on-site presence is one week/month, increasing during key phases
• Preference for candidates in NY or the Northeast, or with direct-flight access to client locations
• Occasional extended hours during critical milestones
