Reports to: Insights Architect - Finance
Location: Durham, North Carolina (Hybrid)We are seeking a Sr. Business Systems Data Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in an IT-driven initiative to retire legacy functionality and implement modern solutions in support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). This position involves conducting impact analyses, gathering new requirements, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure a seamless transition of existing processes, reports, and analytics to the new platform.The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex data environments. They will serve as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and the EDW technical teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.Key responsibilities include performing impact assessments, defining business and technical requirements, supporting data migration efforts, validating new functionality, and ensuring a smooth adoption of the new system. The candidate will also identify opportunities for process improvement and maintain data quality and governance throughout the transition.If you have experience in enterprise data systems, process analysis, and a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives, we'd love to hear from you!Roles and Responsibilities1. Demonstrated ability working with business/functional leads to understand the business process flows and source system (SAP/SFDC) dependencies.2. Experience collecting requirements and artifacts for data model design and implementation.3. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.4. Validate the accuracy and relevance of the models by analyzing their outputs and ensuring alignment with business objectives.5. Provide ongoing support to business users, addressing their questions and concerns related to data analysis and reporting.6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.7. Understanding of Data quality and governance best practices/methodologies8. Create and maintain user guides, reference manuals, and training materials as appropriate.Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in a highly analytical role. Prior experience working with Finance and Billing data (Quote to Cash, GL) Prior experience in at least one ERP systems is preferred (SAP, Oracle or SFDC) Experience creating visualizations with Tableau. Strong SQL skills, ability to perform optimized querying involving multiple tables and subqueries; Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
