Job Details
Leidos is seeking an experienced Multi-Cloud Systems Administrator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with robust experience and proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers within a multi-cloud environment. You will play a vital role in engineering solutions and maintaining compute and storage infrastructures, delivering efficiency through automation, and ensuring scalability, flexibility, and compliance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
Specifically, in this role you will be responsible for:
- Systems Administration:
- System administration tasks for Windows Server 2022 and RHEL 8 including regular platform upgrades, vulnerability management, troubleshooting, automation with native scripting languages, performance management, application inventory and administration, and compliance to regulatory baselines.
- Development and execution of deployments using infrastructure-as-code and usage of DevOps pipelines to operate cloud-native services and deployments.
- Administer the lifecycle of SSL certificates and associated infrastructure and domains.
- Manage and test data backups and disaster recovery policies.
- Active Directory:
- Manage human and system identity lifecycles including onboarding, offboarding, role management, just-in-time privilege escalation, and regular access reviews.
- Implement, update, and regulate group policy and identities in Active Directory and Azure EntraID in conjunction with the Enterprise Access Model.
- Network Infrastructure:
- Implement highly available network architectures and manage network security and network routing in a hybrid-cloud environment.
- Manage IP based access rules, network address sourcing, and CIDR lists/lists.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively and promptly with DevSecOps teams to implement appropriate cloud-native solutions and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the system and network infrastructure including diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures.
- Participate in in-house training programs to foster and spread knowledge and awareness to project teams, promote and empower decision making, and manage incident reports.
- Identify and implement cost-saving improvements and operational efficiencies over the lifespan of projects and resources.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar field and 4+ years experience in managing compute environments.
- Proficiency in both Windows Server and Linux Server operating systems and application management.
- Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity and server hardening concepts.
- Proficiency with administering network architectures and concepts such as DNS, VPN, DHCP, TLS, IP subnetting and routing.
- Demonstrated ability to automate infrastructure tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to independently isolate and resolve problems.
- Self-starter that can work independently while possessing the communication skills to work effectively with software development teams and customers.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or similar field.
- Cloud or security related certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, and Certified Information System Security Professional.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Policy, or Azure EntraID.
