Knack Works, a subsidiary of Jacobs, was created to address the demand for cutting-edge development environments within the intelligence community. Knack Works is focused on providing scalable, automated solutions that enable our customers to perform their national security missions in an ever-changing environment of new technologies and evolving threats. Our flagship product, the "Knack Stack," introduces flexible and automated hybrid cloud infrastructure as a service for cloud-agnostic deployments and automation. It's designed to automate data management and security.
We are in search of a backend software engineer passionate about formulating new solutions, to join our on-site team in Northern Virginia. We live a team-driven approach towards growth and innovation in a culture that fosters collaboration and camaraderie.
Here's what you'll need
Experience with cloud technologies and DevOps (AWS, Kubernetes)
Apply knowledge of software engineering and best practices for full software development life cycle
Familiarity with coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing
Ability to design, build, test, and deploy within cloud technologies and on-prem technologies using DevOps techniques
Knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD tools and benefits
Ability to interface with microservices and event-driven architectures
Experience with ticketing to create, manage, and close-out development requirements
Ability to collaborate with other developers to design and implement features
Ability to mentor less experienced software engineers.
Proactively make recommendations where manual processes can be automated
Proficient in Python, Java or Go
Knowledge of relational database fundamentals
DevOps experience, to include version control, automated builds, automated testing, and continuous integration with tools such as Gitlab.
Self-starter with strong innovative and analytical ability
Possess TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly

130,000.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
170,000.00
