Description
AI Center of Excellence (CoE) team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence to develop and implement advanced models that drive strategic decision-making and innovation. AI CoE team is a division of Enterprise Data and Analytics team, driving innovation and financial success by delivering results on a project-by-project basis. The Sr. Data Scientist role involves managing data science projects from conception to deployment and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful insights.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage the entire model development process for both on premises and AWS cloud projects, including identifying the business requirements, data sourcing, model fitting, presenting results, and production scoring.
Participate in daily Kanban standups, create user stories to diligently track project progress, attend backlog meeting, and communicate effectively with scrum master and product owner to solve any roadblocks.
Utilize automation techniques to streamline manual processes to enhance accuracy, and build upon successes to develop a suite of self-service assets.
Stay current with emerging Machine learning and cloud trends and technologies, driving innovation though their application.
Basic Requirements
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics
2+ years' experience with statistical modeling techniques such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, time series analysis, and Bayesian inference.
2+ years related work experience in AWS cloud machine learning and cloud computing, with familiarity in AWS Sagemaker, Lambda, S3, Athena, etc.
3+ years experience with Python (preferred) or R, Spark, and others.
1+ years experience with Large Language Models (Llama, Claude, Titan), including frameworks such as Langchain, embedding and vector databases, and prompt engineering
Preferred Skills and Characteristics
PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
Willingness to step out of comfort zone and solve problems not strictly related to modeling and data science to reach team goals.
Working knowledge of finetuning LLMs
Working knowledge in RAG such as MMR, Multi-vector retrieval, RAG fusion, HYDE, self-RAG, etc.
Knowledge and practical experience with Agentic AI.
Preferred advanced AWS services work experience with Textract, JumpStart, Bedrock, etc
