Job Title: Product Designer
Location: Hybrid in Mahwah NJ,, 3 days/week

Our client is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company headquartered in New Jersey, focused on streamlining workforce operations in the beauty, health, and industrial manufacturing sectors. Their innovative platform supports real-time communication and reconciliation between manufacturers, packing facilities, and staffing agencies-improving labor coordination in environments where hundreds of temporary workers might be on-site daily. With a strong leadership team, and a collaborative startup environment of just 25 people, they're building high-impact tools that replace fragmented workflows with efficient, tech-driven solutions.
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer with a passion for excellence in design and user experience. This role requires someone who can drive the design vision and create highly functional, visually stunning digital products. They are looking to bring on another product designer to be a mentor to the current one who is a bit more junior.

The office is accessible via a free shuttle from Penn Station to Mahwah, and team members are expected to work on-site 3-4 days per week to stay close to both product development and client needs. - Product involves both a web app and tablet interface used directly on the factory floor
- Ideal background includes HR systems, payroll, staffing tech, or compliance-heavy platforms
Responsibilities:
- User-Centered Design: Lead and champion user research, usability testing, and persona development to ensure user insights and business needs inform strategic design decisions.
- UI/UX Strategy: Define and communicate user flows, wireframes, and design strategies to align with product and business objectives.
- Visual Design: Deliver pixel-perfect, visually compelling interfaces, including typography, iconography, and graphic elements.
- Prototyping: Develop high-fidelity interactive prototypes to validate complex user interactions and concepts.
Must haves:
- HR Systems
- B2B SaaS
- Must have Nice visually appealing portfolio
- 3+ Years plus ideally unless currently/previously a founding designer/sole designer
- Knowledge of Figma, including best practices for creating and maintaining design systems.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, responsiveness, and mobile-first and tablet-first design approaches.
- Experience with business process mapping and modeling is a plus.
