Position Summary
We are seeking a senior leader with hands-on Workday platform expertise to drive system effectiveness and lead cross-functional projects across HR, Finance, and Operations. This position sits within the IT department, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, and will play a critical role in managing our enterprise Workday environment serving as both a strategic technology leader and hands-on administrator.
You will serve as the Workday Platform Owner responsible for architecting, configuring, securing, and advancing our usage of Workday across Financials, HCM, Payroll, Adaptive Planning, and Talent Acquisition. You ll partner closely with functional leads to drive process transformation, support major change initiatives, and enhance data visibility and operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the configuration, maintenance, and roadmap for Workday across all modules
- Serve as the platform lead and IT partner for Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Client Services
- Lead Workday-related change initiatives, process redesign, module implementations, and optimizations
- Serve as hands-on system administrator for tenant configuration, security, and integrations (EIBs, Studio, Core Connectors)
- Manage outsourced Workday administration contract relationship
- Translate business objectives into functional Workday solutions and orchestrate delivery with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage data governance, reporting frameworks, and documentation
- Proactively identify areas for automation, simplification, and integration of business processes using Workday
- Coordinate biannual Workday releases, regression testing, and rollout planning
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certifications a plus
- 5+ years of direct Workday platform administration experience, ideally in a leadership or cross-functional role
- Proven hands-on configuration skills and advanced technical knowledge of FDM, HCM, Security Domains, and Calculated Fields, e.g.
- Broad understanding of Finance and HR business processes with experience in platform support roles (not practitioner roles)
- Experience supporting Workday Financials, Payroll, HCM, and Adaptive Planning
- Ability to partner with C-suite, directors, and functional leads to align technology with business objectives
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Workday Pro Certification or Workday Partner experience preferred
