Role: Kubernetes Administrator
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: Long term
Role Overview:
Seeking a Kubernetes Administrator with GitOps expertise to design, manage and scale Kubernetes clusters while implementing declarative, version-controlled deployments using tools like Argo CD or Flux.
This role blends infrastructure reliability with automation best practices to develop and support secure, high-availability container platforms.
We are looking for a resource with deep experience in Kubernetes and automation of related CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud-based) and perform patching, upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain GitOps workflows for continuous delivery using Argo CD or Flux.
- Develop and manage Helm charts, Kustomize manifests, and CI/CD integrations.
- Configure observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, etc.) for WebLogic clusters.
- Enforce Kubernetes security policies, RBAC, and namespace management.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline application delivery.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GitOps (like Argo CD or Flux)
- Proficient with Helm, Kustomize, Git, and CI/CD tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
- Familiarity with observability, container security, and infrastructure automation.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes networking and CNI plugins, with hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting solutions such as Calico, Cilium, Flannel, or Amazon VPC CNI. Understanding of pod networking, DNS, NetworkPolicy, and service discovery is required.
Preferred:
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and experience supporting stateful workloads like WebLogic or databases in Kubernetes.
Experience building WebLogic Kubernetes Cluster a big plus.
