ALIS/MPE Administrators directly support JSF operations by assisting the customer meets their daily flight schedules and will serve as the point of contact in customer discussions during the flight and evaluation activities while maintaining system functionality. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access.
This is an expat position located in Ghedi Air Base near the town of Ghedi, Italy. We are seeking an experienced Administrator to work on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) who will expatriate under SOFA privileges (to include SOFA-sponsored driver's license for Italy, access to US military bases in Italy for base exchange/commissary shopping privileges, access to US military health care facilities in Italy, etc.) to support our Italian AF (ItAF) customer. The successful candidate will serve as an ALIS Administrator responsible for supporting our ItAF customer with maintaining system functionality to include but not limited to:
Primary customer point of contact for technical items.
Reviewing processes/procedures, collect system operational data for analysis.
Support, administer, and monitor associated hardware/software.
Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of systems/databases/network equipment pertaining to the ALIS Suite.
Training ItAF/ALIS Administrators and users on the ALIS Suite system as needed.
Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier2 and engineers.
Hardware control inventory.
Monitoring system security configuration.
Interacting daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership.
Regular monitoring of systems/applications for availability and performance.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must have a Secret security clearance or higher with investigation within the last 6 years.
Must have and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CASP+, or CISSP) or higher.
Experience in security patching (e.g., IAVAs, IAVBs, IAVAMs, antivirus signatures, security definitions, etc.) and effects on the system.
Experience with security controls, security incidents, or security vulnerabilities.
This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit, the selected candidate may be required to work at deployed CONOCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week-which may include weekends-as dictated by mission requirements.

Must be a good communicator with strong leadership skills, a self-starter, have the ability to make timely decisions, and be willing to learn all facets of the ALIS Suite System.
As a Technical Representative of the USG in Italy under SOFA, the following education/experience is required:
A bachelor's degree, OR;
An associate's degree plus 4 years of specialized experience, OR;
A major certification plus 4 years of specialized experience, OR;
8 years of specialized experience.

Desired skills

International work experience in IT/ Engineering capacity.
Experience Troubleshooting Applications.
Experienced in Information Security or System Administration.
Familiar with auditing tools, e.g. SPLUNK.
Account Maintenance with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM.
Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V / VMware).
Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components.
Applying updates, anti-viranti-spyware updates, and patch updates.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator.
Importing/Exporting large data volumes.
Experience working for or supporting the US military/Foreign Military.
A US DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software.
Previous residency in a non-US location where English is not the primary language spoken.
Italian language skills are preferred, but not mandatory.
Installing Oracle Critical Patches, reviewing tables and DBA views for issues, and locating user session data.
Managing large Oracle and SQL Server databases.
JBOSS (WildFly) Application Server Familiarity.
A current LM Aeronautics-hosted Special Access Program clearance is preferred.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
