General Summary:
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst is responsible for assisting with identity and access-related issues, including digital identity account management, access management, password management, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication. The IAM Analyst will support departmental needs of the institution, ensuring the smooth operation of IAM initiatives during normal business hours, with occasional after-hours support for major upgrades or new application launches.
This role offers a great opportunity to develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience for those newer to the IAM field.
Specific duties & responsibilities:
Assist with digital identity account management, including creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions
Support staff and affiliates with access-related issues and inquiries
Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of IAM systems and applications
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with IAM policies and procedures
Collaborate on the development and execution of IAM-related projects and initiatives
Assist in the generation of reports and analysis of IAM-related metrics
Support the testing and deployment of IAM software updates and patches
Assist with script writing for IAM automation tasks
Collaborate in the creation and updating of IT documentation and training materials
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Minimum qualifications (mandatory):
Bachelor s degree required
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Entra ID administration
Working knowledge of the interaction between Microsoft AD, M365 and Entra ID in a hybrid environment
Experience with Nutanix virtual environment; build out of VMs and environment administration
Preferred qualifications:
Technical qualifications and specialized certifications:
Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and technologies
Familiarity with single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions (Microsoft Authenticator, Okta, Hardware tokens, Security Keys like YubiKey, and time-based one-time passwords (TOTP))
Hands-on experience with one or more common IAM tools and platforms
Administration of cloud resources (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, etc.)
Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
