Job Description
We are seeking a Financial Specialist to join our team supporting the Third-Party Distribution (TPD) and New Markets (NM) businesses while driving forward our annuity P&L analysis. The TPD & NM organization markets life insurance, annuities, and disability income.

In this role, your financial insights will directly shape business strategies and enable data-driven decision-making. You will partner closely with business leaders and CFO colleagues to provide actionable analysis and clear recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and CFO peers.
- Analyze sales, cash flows, AUM, unit costs, sources of earnings, and other financial drivers used by leadership.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure accurate forecasting of key business assumptions.
- Exercise financial stewardship to manage spend and influence direct unit costs.
- Contribute to business growth and efficiency initiatives with strong financial and business acumen.
- Perform and present financial analyses in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Review forecasts, initiative assumptions, and cost-benefit analyses to help prioritize high-value initiatives.
- Translate business results into clear narratives that explain performance drivers and key metrics.
- Partner with the Controllers team to validate accuracy of monthly results by channel/product.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Expense Management team on forecasting and management reporting.
- Develop expertise in business channels and use that knowledge to enhance financial commentary.
- Support the implementation of the FP&A target operating model, tailoring change management efforts to business needs and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience providing financial support in a large, complex corporate environment.
- Strong ability to analyze and communicate business performance using data, with experience leveraging BI tools (e.g., Alation, Microstrategy, SQL).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Intellectual curiosity and drive to continuously deepen business and financial knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with leaders, using financial insights to guide decision-making.
