TITLE: Lead Software Engineer
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Create and develop enterprise web-based software applications for the Buyflow Services Development team, which is responsible for enhancing, delivering, and maintaining functionality of the customer purchasing experience for online ordering of Charter's internet, TV, and landline phone offerings. Develop software utilizing Java programming language and REST- and SOAP- based microservices. Code and perform unit integration testing of software to ensure the proper, efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Organize and assign work for members of the Application Development team. Translate technical architecture into software deliverables. Ensure deliverables meet functional and design specifications as well as requirements. Perform application review through unit testing and code review. Troubleshoot issues related to code in current applications. Work on projects of high complexity within development environments and on multiple programs/systems/applications. Utilize Web Services (SOAP and REST) to develop integration capabilities between two applications. Perform front-end development using REACT, JavaScript, and CSS.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. 4 years of experience: developing software utilizing Java programming language and REST- and SOAP- based microservices; using Web Services (SOAP and REST) to develop integration capabilities between two applications; performing front-end development using the following: REACT, JavaScript, and CSS. A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.
