Job Description:
- The Senior Messaging Specialist will support Cloud Platform Services in delivering integrated cloud solutions including cloud landing zones and M365 services.
- The role supports Exchange Online, MS Teams, M365 Defender, M365 Purview, and related services.
- Responsibilities include ticket fulfillment for incidents, changes, and problems, as well as providing recommendations for optimization and configuration of Microsoft cloud-based solutions.
- The position is remote with occasional onsite meetings.
- Bachelor degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends outside of normal business hours.
- Experience designing, planning, implementing, and supporting On-Premise Exchange 2016/2019, Exchange SE, and Exchange Online in large organizations.
- Experience supporting email security services such as anti-spam, anti-phishing, and access management.
- Experience supporting Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Microsoft architecture, installation, and administration in a multi-server environment.
- 8 years of experience supporting enterprise communication and messaging environments.
- Support Exchange Online, MS Teams, M365 Defender, M365 Purview, and related services.
- Fulfill incident, change, and problem tickets within service level targets.
- Provide recommendations on resource requirements, dependencies, policies, and methodologies for optimizing Microsoft cloud-based services.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement and development of cloud services and products.
- Participate in mandatory training and adhere to all internal policies and security protocols.
- Experience collecting requirements, analyzing, designing, or implementing M365 products and services.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Quest Exchange Migration Wizard.
- Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with user identity verification processes and managing accounts and access levels.
- Experience migrating from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams.
- Experience performing access management activities for Microsoft 365 tenants.
- Experience supporting litigation hold, e-discovery, and retention schedules for M365 services.
- Experience supporting bulk mail delivery solutions.
- Experience with Anti-Spam administration.
- Experience developing naming standards, usage standards, and best practices.
- Experience working in or with the public sector.
- Experience working in large enterprise domain environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services and cloud messaging technologies.
- Troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent.
