Job Details
We are looking for a Software Engineer with proven expertise in backend development and system integration experience to join our client's Madison based team (2-3 days a week onsite). The position involves supporting product integrations, including secure API connections for digital transaction platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services (primarily .NET Core/C# or similar technologies)
- Assist with integration of web and mobile applications; familiarity with React.js is a plus
- Establish secure API connections, utilizing RESTful patterns, authentication methods, and encryption
- Work on workflows related to payments, including setup, token management, updates, and closure
- Coordinate with technical and business teams to ensure solutions meet objectives
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues across APIs and backend systems
- Manage sensitive credentials (API keys, secrets, tokens) securely and in line with best practices
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong background in backend development and API integration
- Experience with secure APIs (REST, authentication, encryption)
- Familiarity with scalable, compliant enterprise architecture environments
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with React.js for frontend integration is beneficial
- Knowledge of financial services workflows and secure data handling
