Job Description
The VP-level Originator will play a pivotal role in supporting the SECM Americas team with the marketing, origination, structuring, and execution of strategic equity capital markets transactions, as well as the overall development of the platform. The SECM team specializes in equity derivatives, equity-based financing transactions, and equity-linked capital markets transactions for a diverse range of corporate and institutional clients, including financial sponsors, holding companies, corporations, investors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with clients, global SECM teams, and various internal and external stakeholders, including coverage teams, product teams, legal, compliance, operations, and onboarding.

The salary range for this position will be between $200,000 - $250,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Contribute to the successful growth of the business by supporting the marketing and execution of transactions across derivatives, financing, and equity capital markets.
Marketing and Origination:
- Actively engage in marketing efforts directed at target clients and bankers.
- Prepare pitch materials and tailored transaction proposals.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding and technical expertise to effectively present and communicate structured products and transactions.
Transaction Structuring and Proposals:
- Generate well-conceived transaction ideas and pitch proposals.
- Structure, design, and price derivatives, capital markets, and financing transactions in collaboration with structuring and trading teams.
Execution and Implementation:
- Prepare transaction proposals and assist senior team members in presenting transactions to Risk and senior management.
- Collaborate with SECM and trading teams to create execution plans for specific transactions.
- Lead the onboarding process and operational setup for clients.
- Review, comprehend, and support the negotiation of legal contracts, including complex elements related to derivatives, financing, and capital markets transactions.
- Manage transactions throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring proper settlement and closing of deals.
Infrastructure Setup:
- Collaborate with the SECM team to establish the necessary infrastructure for new product delivery by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
