Job Details

Position Overview

Primary Focus:

  • Product and project documentation for enterprise software platforms

Industry Preference:

  • Experience in nuclear or utilities sectors is a strong plus

Video Documentation:

  • Experience with video documentation is helpful

Key Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, planning, and execution of technical documentation with MadCap Flare
  • Create and maintain user guides, integration guides, tutorials, installation manuals, and release notes
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams
  • Enforce best practices and style guides
  • Conduct content reviews and audits
  • Advocate for user clarity and accessibility
  • Contribute to the design of the documentation portal

Technical & Tools Requirements

  • MadCap Flare: Already built and implemented
  • Other Tools: MS Project
  • Version Control: Git preferred
  • CI/CD Knowledge: Jenkins or similar tools preferred

Team & Collaboration

  • Currently a sole writer role
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product management, and support

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor s or Master s in Technical Communication, Engineering, English, or related field
  • 8+ years of technical writing experience
  • 2+ years in a senior or lead role
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent writing and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Enterprise software experience
  • Nuclear or utilities industry background
  • Internal documentation / engineering enablement content
  • Developer portal or knowledge base work
