Position: ISO 20022 Consultant

Industry: Banking

Location: 3 days on-site in NYC, Charlotte, Minneapolis or St. Louis (2 days remote)

Duration: Approved through end of 2025, potential extension

Employment Details: direct on W2, weekly pay cycle, benefit options, paid for hours worked, free training resources

Interviews: One virtual interview, week of 6/9

Max Pay: $70/hr W2 in New York ($62/hr in MN, NC or MO)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Payments Tech Lead to lead operational change readiness within Wholesale Operations for a payments modernization initiative. The role involves providing technical leadership in payments, focusing on the strategic delivery of ISO 20022, SWIFT, and Federal Reserve compliance, and collaborating across Capital Markets, Wealth, and Commercial Operations.

Top Requirements:
  • Experience as an Analyst, Product Leader or Delivery Lead for ISO 20022 adoption
  • Strong background in payments modernization (ISO, SWIFT, Fed compliance)
  • Deep experience in financial services (preferably wholesale or capital markets)
  • Strategic mindset with proven enterprise change delivery ability
  • Ability to embed into BAU and shape long-term delivery
  • Very strong technical acumen, problem solver, deadline oriented and comfortable with ambiguity & each day being different


Nice to Have:
  • International desk support experience
  • Regulatory reporting or operations control background
  • Experience with Jira and/or Confluence


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead operational readiness and technical delivery strategy for ISO 20022, SWIFT, and Fed updates
  • Own cross-application delivery roadmaps and sprint strategies
  • Shape testing strategies, requirements, and track RAID items
  • Support BAU team integration and agile development processes
  • Provide hands-on leadership and remediation support
