Job Details

Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Austin, TX

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to support and enhance the SCOR Java system for the PCS SCOR EI program. This role includes developing software solutions, updating business logic, enhancing the user interface, extending reporting capabilities, and modifying the system data model. The developer will work in a hybrid environment with on-call support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Java-based applications using J2EE and Spring frameworks

Implement updates to business logic, UI, reporting, and data models

Write efficient SQL queries and manage relational database interactions

Build and consume RESTful APIs using Spring

Conduct code reviews, testing (JUnit), and documentation

Troubleshoot defects and perform root cause analysis

Ensure compliance with code coverage, testing, and security standards

Support applications in multiple environments

Participate in peer reviews and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of Java (OOP) development

8+ years of J2EE platform experience

8+ years of experience with SQL in relational databases

8+ years working with RESTful services on Spring

8+ years with Spring AOP (transaction management, security)

8+ years of experience writing JUnit/unit tests

Preferred Skills:
4+ years with Angular UI framework

4+ years with Crystal Reports

4+ years with PowerBI
