Job Details

Piper Companies is looking for a DevOps Manager to join a growing infrastructure-focused team a hybrid position working onsite Tuesday - Thursday in Raleigh, NC . The ideal DevOps Manager will lead a team of engineers while bringing strong expertise in systems engineering, networking, and security while enhancing CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities for the DevOps Manager:
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Drive infrastructure initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across platforms.
  • Collaborate with development teams to manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain and optimize a hybrid Linux and Windows environment, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes and Linux systems.
  • Lead the deployment and maintenance of robust, scalable systems in cloud infrastructure

Qualifications for the DevOps Manager:
  • 8+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • Proven experience managing and leading technical teams and balancing leadership with hands-on responsibilities (70% management / 30% technical).
  • Strong background in Linux systems administration, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Strong AWS skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Compensation/Benefits for the DevOps Manager:
  • Salary Range: $145,000 - $175,000 annually
