We are looking for AS400 Developer for our client in Toronto, ON
Job Title: AS400 Developer
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- System Administration Managing daily operations ensuring system availability and performance installing updates implementing security measures and performing backups and recovery.
- Application Development Designing coding testing and implementing new applications as well as modifying and enhancing existing ones.
- Programming Developing and maintaining programs using languages like RPG ILE RPG RPG IV COBOL and Command Language CL
- Database Management Creating and managing database objects such as tables and indexes in the DB2400 environment.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting Monitoring system and application performance diagnosing and resolving production issues and handling tickets for infrastructure and network connectivity.
- Collaboration and Support Working with business analysts and endusers to understand requirements providing technical support and training and participating in code reviews.
- Documentation Developing and maintaining system documentation procedures and code documentation.
