Position Summary:
The Enterprise LMS Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization's Learning Management System. This role ensures the LMS platform supports and enhances enterprise-wide training, compliance, onboarding, professional development, and performance support. The manager works closely with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, compliance, and departmental training leads to deliver scalable, engaging, and effective learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
System Leadership & Management
Serve as the primary administrator and owner of the enterprise LMS.
Oversee LMS configuration, integration with other required systems, and vendor relationships.
Maintain system, including updates, user access controls, and data integrity.
Learning Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement governance for content creation, publishing standards, reporting, and user access.
Align LMS strategy with organizational learning goals, compliance requirements, and employee development needs.
Serve as the subject matter expert on e-learning technologies, instructional design standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI), and industry trends.
Content & Course Management
Manage the lifecycle of training content including design, testing, deployment, and archiving.
Ensure proper tagging, cataloging, and assignment of courses across audiences.
Coordinate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to publish new learning programs.
Reporting & Analytics
Oversee design and delivery of dashboards, reports, and KPIs on learner progress, compliance, and content effectiveness.
Monitor and analyze system usage trends to inform improvements and engagement strategies.
Support & Training
Monitor training and guidance to internal LMS users, including HR partners, instructional designers, and end users.
Create user support documentation and conduct training sessions.
Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with LMS vendors for resolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, information systems, education, human resources, or related field.
5+ years of experience managing an enterprise-level LMS (e.g., Workday Learning, Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, Moodle, Docebo, etc.).
Proven experience leading cross-functional training initiatives and systems administration.
Strong understanding of LMS data structures, SCORM/xAPI, SSO, and integration protocols.
Preferred Attributes:
Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, ATD, SHRM, PMP).
Experience with enterprise integrations (e.g., SSO, HRIS, APIs).
Background in instructional design or e-learning development.
Experience with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, Section 508).
