Description

Engineer, develop, implement and validate math-based and physics-based control algorithms for current and next generation Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) State of Health (SOH) control feature in embedded Battery Interface Control Module (BICM), using MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow models, autogenerated code in C and hand code in Embedded C, using Git, IBM Rational Rhapsody, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), Model Development Kit (MDK), Gerrit, Jenkins, PacMan, ETAS INCA, and Artifactory tools, following Scaled Agile Frame (SAFe) methodology. Design, and develop enhanced diagnostics algorithms for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for State of Health (SOH) of battery packs to act as early indicator of deteriorating State of Health (SOH) and detect battery pack Thermal Runaway Propagation (TRP). Perform function, controller and system level testing of implemented software using CppUTest, dSPACE Hardware in the Loop (HIL), GMSim Software in the Loop (SIL), ETAS INCA, and Vector CANape tools, to ensure quality software and achieve zero software defects.

Additional Description

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and one (1) year of experience as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: developing and validating control algorithms for Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Battery controls features in BICM or Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM), using MATLAB and Simulink models, and autogenerated code in C.
