Description
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing and maintaining robust cloud security controls while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure systems, monitor vulnerabilities, and optimize cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cloud security measures in alignment with Zero Trust principles and organizational policies.
Oversee identity and access management in Azure AD/Entra ID, including Conditional Access configurations.
Secure and manage Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
Configure and support secure Azure tenant environments, including assisting with tenant migrations using platforms like AvePoint.
Implement data classification and retention policies using Microsoft Purview to protect sensitive information.
Monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities and system misconfigurations, ensuring timely remediation.
Utilize tools such as Amazon CloudWatch and AWS technologies for performance monitoring and security.
Automate processes and workflows using tools like Ansible and API development to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with teams to manage backup technologies, DNS/DHCP configurations, and auto-scaling solutions.
Leverage Atlassian Jira for project management and tracking security tasks effectively.
Requirements
Proven experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Strong expertise in identity and access management, including Azure AD/Entra ID and Conditional Access.
Proficiency in AWS technologies, such as Amazon CloudWatch, EC2, and Auto Scaling.
Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible and API development.
Familiarity with data classification, retention policies, and Microsoft Purview.
Knowledge of vulnerability management and system misconfiguration remediation.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, as well as DNS/DHCP management.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.
