Computer Operator - 1st Shift

This position is a Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire role that sits onsite in Birmingham, AL.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor high-volume print processes including invoices, checks, reports, and ID cards.
• Manage multiple commercial printers, selecting and loading correct paper stock and monitoring output for accuracy.
• Execute nightly print runs totaling up to 300,000 pages across 70 100 different jobs.
• Perform routine equipment checks, troubleshoot basic printer issues, and ensure continuous job flow.
• Follow strict data security and compliance standards (including HIPAA) when handling confidential information.
• Collaborate with team members on shift transitions and provide assistance during training and peak periods.

Position Requirements:

• Prior experience in operations, print services, production, or a related environment preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn print workflows and equipment handling.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow directions and maintain focus during downtime.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to work onsite and function effectively as part of a team in a secure environment.
