Apex Systems is seeking a Workday Extend Developer to support our government client's effort to automate currently existing manual processes for legacy systems. The Workday Extend Developer will build from-scratch and modify existing custom Workday Extend applications.

Apex Systems is seeking a Workday Extend Developer to support our government client's effort to automate currently existing manual processes for legacy systems. The Workday Extend Developer will build from-scratch and modify existing custom Workday Extend applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom applications using Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, and Workday Studio.
- Integrate Workday Extend applications with Workday core modules and external systems using REST APIs and Workday web services
- Collaborate with business analysts, HRIS, and finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain Workday Hub landing/menu pages to support user navigation and experience
- Ensure applications follow Workday's security, performance, and UX best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Maintain and enhance existing Workday Extend applications.
- Stay current with Workday updates, new features, and Extend platform enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience developing with Workday Extend.
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM and/or Financials.
- Proficiency in XSLT, JSON, REST APIs, and Workday Studio.
- Experience with Workday Integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services).
- Hands-on experience with Workday Orchestrate
- Familiarity with Workday Hub for building user-friendly landing pages
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday PRISM is highly desirable, especially in support of broader costing automation initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
