Job Details

Support all phases of the enterprise hardware IT Asset Management (ITAM) process, including reporting and asset allocation. Support vendor relationships and assist with agreement administration. Support ITAM activities to ensure the enterprise is equipped with appropriate hardware to fit the needs of employees. Apply working knowledge of ITAM processes and execute on multiple assignments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain automated IT asset inventory capabilities
  • Maintain contract repository for leased hardware assets
  • Perform data analysis to identify data inaccuracies utilizing tools to drive data stabilization in the AMDB
  • Deliver weekly / monthly reporting on costs associated with deployed and at rest assets
  • Utilize tools to ensure allocations of deployed assets are applied appropriately to the business
  • Help to implement asset management processes and procedures for enterprise
  • Deploy best practices for enterprise ITAM
  • Coordinate lifecycle, procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT asset records
  • Coordinate warranties and service agreements
  • Perform audits and regular inventory reviews
  • Build and maintain relationships with selected hardware vendors and lessors
  • Generate IT hardware asset reports to assist management in forecasting hardware needs
  • Work with other departments to ensure project hardware needs are met

Education and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, procurement, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education) preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of IT procurement, purchasing, or related experience in a large company/corporate environment
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment

  • Working knowledge of ITAM standards and best practices
  • Able to demonstrate superior customer service skills
  • Able to demonstrate good organization and task management skills
  • Able to apply analytical thinking to interpret and work on multiple data sets to improve data accuracy and support decision making across ITAM and related modules
  • Able to demonstrate basic financial cost saving skills
  • Able to communicate and translate technical topics into easy-to-understand concepts
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to clearly document technical processes
  • Able to ask direct and logical questions to determine problem causation and follow through to successful resolution
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) compliance policies, Apple products (iPhone, iPad and Mac computers) and Android devices (phones and tablets)
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow hardware asset management (HAM) module
  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
