Onsite 3-4 days/week in Downtown Milwaukee

Duration: 6+ months with likely extensions (provided we supply a candidate who is senior level and good with long term contract)

Top 3: 5+ years circuit design, product development, electronic design + need to be able to work independently as they will be the 1 R in Milwaukee

Job Description

Work independently to design hardware and perform circuit design for new product development projects.

Test designs for EMC and do root cause analysis.

Work with suppliers who provide the microcontrollers.

This job is broken down into about 85% hardware design for new products, 5% modifying C code, and 10% doing PCB design and layout in Altium.

This is a long term position that requires the ability to work onsite 3-4 days per week in downtown Milwaukee.

Some of the work will involve working with designs for 120-230 volts.

Other duties:

Assist in the development of firmware for electrically integrated products, including motor control and safety features

Working with colleagues using modern embedded systems engineering processes, controls, and tools to create high-quality, robust, and reliable electronic hardware and firmware.

Responsible for ensuring that all electronic hardware and firmware are developed adhering to the engineering controls.

Participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA, SFMEA of controls, Risk Analysis, DVP&R.

Perform validation testing in the development lab.

Assist in Advanced Engineering Technology development for future NPD projects.

Qualifications

5+ years of recent hardware and circuit design for new product development projects

Ability to work onsite 3-4 days/week

Experience modifying C code and doing PCB design and layout

Experience doing root cause and testing components

Experience with designs that are involved in EMC tests
