Contract Position

Role overview

The Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Lead Consultant will support Client new joint venture by enhancing the onpremise Oracle EPM/Hyperion Financial Management and Reporting landscape to consolidate Client entities and deliver statutory and management reporting. The role is technofunctional, requiring strong HFM expertise, divestiture experience, and the ability to guide a team on what needs to be done rather than only executing assigned tasks

Required qualifications

  • 1 2+ years handson experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), including rules, metadata, and reporting
  • Proven experience in company divestitures or similar restructuring projects (entity splits, carveouts, and related data manipulation).
  • Strong technofunctional skill set: understanding of consolidation/accounting concepts plus ability to configure HFM, FDMEE, and reporting components.
  • Experience with data loading, mapping, business rules, and validation in HFM/FDMEE.
  • Ability to independently determine required tasks, provide guidance to team members, and influence stakeholders without formal peoplemanagement responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with finance and IT teams in remote, distributed environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with other Oracle EPM components (e.g., Planning, FCCS, EPM Cloud) in addition to onprem HFM
  • Prior experience in large multinational environments or CPG/manufacturing industries
  • Relevant certifications in Oracle Hyperion/Oracle EPM or professional accounting qualifications

Key responsibilities

  • Lead design, configuration, and enhancement of HFM applications for JV legal entity consolidation and reporting in an onpremise environment
  • Create and modify HFM rules, metadata, web forms, and Financial Reporting (FR) reports to support divestitures, entity splits, and complex business logic
  • Manage data loading and integration (FDMEE/other interfaces), including building and updating FDMEE scripts and mappings to support divestiture-related data movements.
  • Perform technofunctional validation of HFM applications, business rules, metadata, and data flows across environments.
  • Support SIT and UAT cycles by preparing test scenarios, assisting users, and resolving HFM/FDMEE issues.
  • Provide golive and hypercare support for Production HFM applications, ensuring stability, performance, and data integrity.
  • Review and refine the Disaster Recovery (DR) approach for HFM, and participate in DR testing for the new platform.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including architecture diagrams, installation/configuration guides, migration runbooks, and validation documents
