What You Will Do :

The Technical writer will support a facilities design, construction, and renovation projects program by providing their professional expertise. The responsibilities of the Technical Writer are as follows, to include but not limited to:
  • Developing, writing and editing material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposal solicitations, technical specifications, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications
  • Working with the team to develop and define requirements by interfacing with the program/project manager, architects and engineers
  • Maintaining familiarity with design, construction, architectural, and engineering methods and technology
  • Creating Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) using customized organizational templates
  • Proofing, standardizing, and editing documents written by peers and other writers.
  • Working closely with the architects and engineers in coordination of deadlines and delivery schedules.
  • Creating, formatting and preparing documents for executive level presentations


What You Will Need :
  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance
  • BS/BA in English, Architecture, or other applicable fields of study
  • 4+ years of technical writing experience for federal government
  • 5+ years of experience in writing and editing skills using MS Office

  • Attention to detail and effective professional correspondence
  • Self-sufficient and resourceful, and able to work independently and take ownership of the project
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
