Job Description

In this position...

You will use connected data and analytics to continuously monitor the functionality of ADAS features, systems, and components associated with regulatory compliance. You will lead root cause analysis with internal functions and suppliers to ensure that ADAS regulatory compliance concerns are understood and resolved promptly. You will collaborate with a variety of cross-functional partners to ensure that vehicle system interfaces are functioning robustly for regulatory compliance. You will utilize diagnostics data and associated specifications from the ADAS module as well as other systems and components.

What you'll do...
  • Monitor connected data daily for potential regulatory concerns, significant emphasis on surveillance and early response
  • Enforce regulatory requirements and apply extensive engineering experience in ADAS to help identify issues which could lead to a campaign or Field Service Action
  • Improve tools, methods, and diagnostic techniques used for connected data surveillance and analysis
  • Correlate existing faults and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) to feature function and performance; explain behavior using limited data
  • Maintain DTC to feature dependency matrix based on feature development and field performance
  • Triage diagnostic codes on customer vehicles
  • Lead root-case analysis with ADAS functions and interfacing sub-systems and their relation to connected vehicle data
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams with interfacing modules on all program
  • Identify corrective actions, when needed


You'll have...
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Control Systems
  • 1+ year of ADAS experience, including diagnostics and distributed system interfaces
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (FMVSS, ECE, etc.) that pertain to ADAS
  • Experience with automotive OBD2 functions and tools: Vector, DET, CANalyzer, or equivalent
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong collaboration skills, including onsite collaboration
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Python, Matlab


Even better, you may have...
  • MS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Control Systems
  • 2+ year of ADAS feature function and performance experience
  • 2+ year of ADAS camera and radar hardware experience
  • 1+ year experience in script writing using Python and / or MATLAB
  • 1+ year experience writing C, C++ Embedded Code for automotive ECUs
  • 1+ year of ADAS warranty experience
  • Experience with advanced automotive OBD2 functions and tools
  • Understanding of CAN networking
  • In-depth understanding of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and feature performance
