Job Title: Senior Mainframe Developer

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Contract: W2 Only

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:
We need an expert Mainframe Developer/Architect to lead our z/OS systems and drive technical excellence in mainframe operations and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain z/OS architecture and hardware configurations
• Perform advanced performance analysis and system troubleshooting
• Install, configure and upgrade z/OS operating systems and associated software
• Manage SMP/E, JES2, RACF and SMF implementations
• Lead production control and scheduling using IWS (TWS) & JOBTRAC tools
• Optimize systems using WLM and performance tuning techniques
• Execute z/OS version upgrades and z/OS MF implementations
• Handle VTS and hardware upgrade projects
• Mentor and manage teams of mainframe professionals
• Drive best practices in system administration and disaster recovery
• Develop and maintain JCL procedures
• Design and implement CICS applications
• Manage DB2 databases and develop solutions using SYNCSORT, EASYTRIEVE, VSAM
• Oversee complete software development life cycle for mainframe systems

Required Skills:

• 12+ years mainframe experience with z/OS and z Hardware architecture
• 10+ years performance analysis and troubleshooting experience
• Expertise with mainframe monitoring tools (Omegamon, RMFIII, SAS/MXG)
• Strong IODF/IOCP skills for z/OS System Architecture
• Deep knowledge of IBM Z architecture and workload management
• Experience with z/OS version upgrades and z/OS MF
• Proficiency in JCL, CICS, DB2, SYNCSORT, EASYTRIEVE, VSAM
• Hands-on experience with Production Control and Scheduling tools
• Understanding of complete software development life cycle

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modern mainframe integration technologies
• Knowledge of mainframe security best practices
• Familiarity with cloud integration for mainframe systems
