Job title: Business Analyst II (Only W2 Position- Part Time)
Location: Remote must be flexible with their schedule as they will be collaborating with partners across the globe.
Duration: 6 months
Job Description:
This is a part time role, minimum 20 hours, however, candidates may work up to 40 hours depending the stage of the project.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the offboarding of Smartsheet and lead the transition to a new project management tool. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Microsoft Planner (P3), and will be responsible for analyzing business needs, evaluating alternatives, and coordinating the migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze current Smartsheet usage across teams and identify business and technical requirements.
Assess and compare alternative project management tools, with a focus on ServiceNow SPM and MS Planner P3.
Recommend the most suitable solution based on functionality, scalability, integration, and cost.
Develop a comprehensive transition plan including timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with stakeholders, IT, and vendor teams to ensure smooth migration and tool configuration.
Document workflows, processes, and training materials for the new tool.
Support change management, training, and user onboarding.
Monitor post-transition performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in IT or PMO environments.
Practical knowledge of Smartsheet, ServiceNow SPM, and MS Planner P3.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience with SaaS platforms, data migration, and tool integration.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project methodologies.
Experience in enterprise-level tool transitions or implementations.
Knowledge of APIs, automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or Agile/Scrum are a plus.
