IT Manager (Network Focused) / SOUTH JERSEY/ HYBRID

Position Overview: A well knowns sports team is looking to hire a Network Manager with hands-on experience in Extreme and Cisco networking technologies to oversee the design, implementation, and management of complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background coupled with exceptional leadership and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.This is a HYBRID-REMOTE ROLE WITH TRAVEL. YOU MUST BE LOCAL TO CAMDAN NEW JERSEY.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network solutions utilizing Extreme and Cisco networking technologies.
• Lead a team of network engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Proactively monitor network performance and security, implementing appropriate measures to mitigate risks and ensure uptime.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in networking technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance network capabilities.
• Provide escalated support for complex network issues, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructures, with a focus on Extreme and Cisco technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP).
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Extreme Networks certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience working in a third-party agency or consulting environment is a plus.
