SAP S/4HANA EAM Functional Architect

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA EAM Functional Architect to lead the design and deployment of SAP s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA, with a focus on Plant Maintenance (PM), and a proven ability to architect end-to-end asset lifecycle management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall functional architecture and solution design for SAP S/4HANA EAM implementations.
• Analyze and understand the client's business requirements related to asset management, maintenance planning, and reliability engineering.
• Translate business needs into scalable, integrated SAP solutions.
• Configure and customize SAP S/4HANA EAM modules to support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance processes.
• Define solution roadmaps, architecture principles, and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
• Oversee data migration strategies for equipment, functional locations, maintenance plans, and historical data.
• Lead integration between EAM and related modules such as MM, PP, QM, FI/CO, and third-party tools or mobile platforms (e.g., SAP Asset Manager).
• Act as a trusted advisor to the client and internal teams for asset performance management, digital maintenance, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Support testing, training, change management, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
• Mentor junior consultants and collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on EAM / Plant Maintenance.
• Minimum 2+ full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations in a functional architect or lead role.
• Deep understanding of master data (equipment, functional location), maintenance orders, notifications, task lists, and maintenance planning.
• Proven experience designing SAP PM/EAM solutions within S/4HANA (including Fiori).
• Strong communication, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP S/4HANA certification in EAM or PM.
• Experience with SAP Asset Manager or SAP Work Manager.
• Familiarity with asset-intensive industries (e.g., Utilities, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transportation).
• Knowledge of Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) suite or SAP BTP integration.
• Experience with Agile or Hybrid delivery methodologies
