Job Description:
Storage & Backup Engineer
- Manage and Maintain HP Primera and HP 3PAR storage systems.
- Manage and Maintain NetApp Storage system, including FAS and AFF.
- Manage and Maintain Hitachi VSP storage system, including G800, E990 and HNAS.
- Experienced in Storage protocols like NAS and SAN.
- Good Knowledge in Data Protection and Disaster Recovery.
- Working experience in OEM based storage management software.
- Configure and Optimize HP, Hitachi and NetApp storage systems for performance, availability and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage system related issues.
- Manage storage capacity, performance and utilization.
- Strong hands on experience in Commvault backup appliance
- Perform daily monitoring of backup jobs and troubleshoot failures.
- Execute backup requests for files, databases, and virtual machines.
- Validate backup completion and ensure compliance with retention policies
- Configure backup policies, schedules, and storage targets.
- Resolve L2-level incidents related to backup failures, connectivity, and performance
- Generate backup success/failure reports and capacity utilization
