Location: Lincoln, NE
Salary: $150,000.00 USD Annually - $170,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
The Judge Group is currently seeking a Electrical Engineering & Software Manager for a large commercial / industrial component manufacturing firm in the Northeast Lincoln, NE area. The right candidate will have experience in an R&D hardware design environment with Software Application development processes.
COMPENSATION: 150K to 170k
MUST HAVE: A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering
MUST HAVE: Experience working in an R&D hardware design environment with Software Application development processes
MUST HAVE: 8+ years of related experience including 3+ years of Engineering Management experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee technology development in and support new product development for electrical mechanical devices with Software application development support through vendors
- Review the engineering team members output related to new product timelines
- Ensure quality objectives are met as part of the design team output
- Ensuring that sound design methods are being effectively employed.
- Participate in product roadmap development
- Align business needs with available resources to achieve the product development goals
- Oversee team members, set goals, mentor subordinates and perform regular performance assessments
- Prepare annual budgets
- Managing 3rd party consulting relationships
- Travel about 20% of the time to 4 locations to meet with team members distributed regionally
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering or Computer, physical science is preferred
- Strong leadership skills in managing personnel in in multiple locations
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Minimum 8 years' experience in an R&D product development position
- 8+ years of related experience including 3+ years of Engineering Management experience
