Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to guide financial institutions through the adoption of enterprise SaaS platforms. This role requires deep expertise in end-to-end architecture-from legacy systems through modern SaaS environments-and the ability to influence, advise, and support both pre-sales and delivery teams across multi-disciplinary and multi-geographic environments.
The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex business challenges through technology and excels at translating technical architecture into clear business value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead banks through SaaS modernization by applying expert knowledge of end-to-end architecture spanning legacy systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise SaaS.
  • Articulate the business value of our Client's platform within each customer's architectural context.
  • Work collaboratively across internal product, engineering, sales, and delivery teams, as well as with external customers and industry partners.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are technically sound, strategically aligned, and supportive of customer business objectives and modernization roadmaps.
  • Engage in continuous discovery, architecture refinement, and solution communication from pre-sales through implementation.

Objectives
Enhance Customer Value Through Strategic Engagement & Innovation
  • Partner with clients to understand business priorities and co-create architectural roadmaps that demonstrate the value of our Client's SaaS platform.
Drive Enterprise SaaS Architecture Excellence
  • Provide end-to-end architectural guidance-from legacy transformation to cloud-native design-ensuring technical robustness, scalability, and alignment with business strategy.
Foster High-Performing, Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, sales, and delivery teams.
  • Mentor solution architects and engineers, promoting shared ownership and best practices.

Role Components
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal SMEs, technical leaders, and business stakeholders.
  • Client-Facing Leadership: Interface directly with customers to assess needs, shape architectures, and support successful delivery outcomes.

Required Technical Skills
  • Strong enterprise SaaS experience with deep understanding of end-to-end product architectures.
  • Background in banking platforms, core banking systems, modernization, pricing, and billing across retail, corporate, and commercial banking.
  • Experience designing scalable, secure, reliable systems using microservices, APIs, and integration frameworks.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automation tooling, and cloud-native patterns.
  • Knowledge of identity management, encryption, and regulatory standards (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Ability to produce clear architectural artifacts (HLDs, LLDs, sequence diagrams, integration patterns) to guide development teams.

Role Expectations
  • Senior or Director level leadership.
  • Ability to shape strategy, influence executive stakeholders, and operate autonomously.
  • Experience leading cross-team and cross-geography initiatives.
  • 8+ years in banking/banking technology and 12+ years overall architecture experience (minimum).

Pre-Sales Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical advisor to Sales, shaping solution narratives and tailoring demos.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand pain points and define high-level solution architectures.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, technical presentations, and architectural discussions during the sales cycle.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early to influence solution strategy.
  • Ensure alignment between Sales and Delivery to guarantee feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions.

Additional Skills & Competencies
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to design innovative, technology-driven solutions aligned to business outcomes.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Influence: Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear business terms for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Works effectively with developers, PMs, executives, and cross-functional teams to drive alignment.
  • Decision-Making Under Uncertainty: Capable of balancing risk, cost, and performance when making architectural decisions with incomplete information.
