Title : SAP CTRM Risk Management Consultant
Location : Houston, TX (Day one onsite)
Role Description
We are seeking a skilled SAP CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) professional to join our Houston-based team. The candidate will:
•Facilitate the implementation, customization, testing, and support of SAP Commodity Management and Risk Management solutions.
•Work closely with business owners, stakeholders, and partners to analyze, gather, and define business requirements and processes.
•Develop customer-specific enhancements and solutions to meet business needs.
•Ensure effective collaboration across technical and functional teams for successful solution deployment.
Technical and Business Skills Required
SAP Expertise:
•Deep knowledge of SAP Commodity Management and Risk Management functionalities.
•Extensive hands-on experience with S/4HANA, particularly focused on:
•Commodity Management (CMM)
•Risk Management (RM)
•Analytics and Reporting
Business Domain Expertise:
•Strong understanding of Oil & Gas and Trading industry practices and business processes.
•Expertise in financial and physical commodity trading, commodity hedging, and risk management.
Technical Skills:
•Solution setup and configuration in S/4HANA Commodity Risk/Commodity Management.
•Cross-module integration knowledge between CTRM, CMM SD (Sales and Distribution), and MM (Materials Management).
•Integration experience with market data providers (especially DCS-based commodity price indexes).
•Solid understanding of risk exposure modeling and its extension into additional reporting attributes.|
Analytics and Reporting:
•Familiarity with CDS (Core Data Services) views and ability to design and convey analytics requirements to technical teams.
•Expertise in end-of-day evaluations, mark-to-market calculations, profit & loss attribution, position reporting, and valuations.
•Knowledge of Value-at-Risk (VaR) reporting and third-party system integrations for VaR metrics.
Soft Skills:
•Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
•Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Additional Notes
•Candidate must be willing and able to work onsite in Houston 4–5 days a week.
•Prior experience in a consulting environment or large-scale SAP implementations for energy trading companies is a plus.
