Jr. Test Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated test cases.
- Execute test suites.
- Review and diagnose reported defects through CI/CD and ensure overall system quality prior to each release.
- Participate and conduct peer reviews of test scripts.
- Work with business analysts, developers, DevOps, product owners, and other department personnel to derive testing requirements throughout the SDLC.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical development to identify, reproduce, debug, isolate, and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards and verify fixes.
- Create software artifacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Facilitate test plan/case reviews with appropriate parties including business analysts and developers.
- Facilitate the sharing of information by contributing to the IT Knowledgebase when appropriate.
- Anticipate, identify, and escalate issues/risks.
- Leverage personal and experiential knowledge to propose workarounds, prevention, and/or solutions.
- Follow and promote the use of SDLC and established internal IT and testing processes and procedures.
- Contribute to SDLC documentation.
Requirements
- Junior developer looking to gain experience in Test Automation, Test Tooling, and Infrastructure or development deployment operations.
- Schooling or professional experience in Java or C#.
