Job Details

Maybell Quantum is redefining the future of computing. As a venture-backed quantum hardware innovator experiencing rapid growth, we're building technology that will transform industries for decades to come. Quantum computers will be as transformative to the next 30 years as the internet was to the last 30-and our team is creating the hardware foundation to make this revolution possible.

We're seeking an accomplished Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to take a leading role in developing next-generation and custom wiring solutions that are critical to quantum computing. Ideal candidates have a strong background in microwave and cryogenic systems, and a proven track record of translating research - whether academic or commercial - into rapid innovation, prototyping, and real-world deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, testing, and qualification of advanced RF circuits and custom cables for quantum computing applications.
  • Drive new product initiatives from concept to deployment, including proposals, feasibility studies, and project scoping.
  • Serve as the technical authority for RF/microwave systems-setting standards, reviewing designs, and guiding architecture.
  • Perform advanced modelling and simulation of RF/microwave components and circuits using EM and schematic simulators like HFSS, ADS, and related tools.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to deliver functional prototypes and production-ready products.
  • Partner with operations to optimize bill-of-materials, procurement, and supply chain strategies.
  • Mentor and develop other RF engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree (or higher) in RF or Telecommunication Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field (PhD preferred).
  • Minimum of 8+ years working experience with RF or quantum device development, or 5+ years working experience after MS's degree.
  • Expertise with RF/microwave measurement equipment (VNA, AWG, oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, and system level test setting with power meter, attenuators, and coupler for active and passive DUTs).
  • Proven track record in modelling, simulating, and validating RF/microwave components and circuits using EM and schematic simulators like HFSS, ADS, and related tools.
  • Familiarity with system budget, SDR, and data analysis with programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Tableau).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary range $120,000-$170,000, with additional compensation through performance bonuses and equity options in one of the country's most promising startups.
  • Growth Trajectory: Significant opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a rapidly scaling organization.
  • Impact: Direct influence on the success of a company developing revolutionary technology.
  • Exceptional Team: Collaboration with world-class scientists, engineers, and business leaders who are defining a new industry.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible PTO policy, and more.
