Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer-Data (R4-R5) to engage in technical leadership within Lilly Research Labs. Ensure technical designs align with architecture guidance and adhering to data platform standards. Grow and maintain knowledge of advanced technology and analytics trends within the organization and across the industry externally. Assist the team in the impact analysis to translate and implement technical design (configuration/development and data integration). Use skills and experience to influence solution direction and future releases. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior developers on the best practices, standards, and methodologies of software engineering. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with software development life cycle, spanning the lifecycle from project initiation to deployment, support, and retirement. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience in the development of technology solutions for a business area, with emphasis on the technical/data/application development and implementation; 5 years of experience with Amazon Web Services, AWS Compute & Data Technologies (including Lambda, RDS, Glue, API Gateway, Athena, IAM, CloudFormation), and implementation of those services in a regulated environment; 5 years of experience with development and analysis languages including Python, Node.js, PL/SQL, Java, and RESTful Web Services; and 5 years of experience with Windows and Linux OS. Part time telecommuting may be permitted. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. #LI-DNI
