Client: Direct Client

Duration: 1 Year (with may extension up to 2029)

Job Description:

The Microsoft Access/SQL Server database technician/developer must:

  • Have specialized knowledge and expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Microsoft Access/SQL Server database for at least 3 years within the last 5 years


Split the Access database into two components to include:

  • Keep all of the data entry ports on the front end of the system.

  • Move all of the stored data to a SQL Server back-end system that can be supported by Client ITD. The sequel server backend will allow multiple people to process transactions within the system simultaneously; otherwise, only one user could be in the system at a single time.

  • Make enhancements to the functionality and reporting features.

  • Assist the Client data management team: design and implement data architectures that are optimized for the Snowflake platform including designing data models, configuring data pipelines, and setting up data warehousing and data lake solutions.

  • Must help the data management team ensure security features are properly configured, and that data is stored securely.

  • Assist the Client data management team optimize performance by configuring resource usage, query optimization, and data partitioning.

  • Assist the Client data management team integrate Access with these other systems and ensure that data flows smoothly between them.

  • Assist Client resources for working sessions on the various tasks the RSA is assisting with.

  • Have quarterly business reviews in addition to the weekly status meetings to review upcoming goals, scope, important dates such as go-lives, and user adoption efforts with Client .

  • Implementation - plan the work & work the plan Governance

  • Make enhancements to the functionality and reporting features

  • Proven practices, guidelines & conventions

  • Frameworks, toolkits & templates

  • Code snippets, tips & tricks
