Senior Microsoft Developer
Location: On-site in Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 52 weeks
Work Authorization: US Citizens or Green Card Holders only
Pay Rate: $110/hour (W2)
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior MS Developer to join our agile/DevOps delivery team. This individual will be responsible for full lifecycle development, including system analysis, design, development, and testing of key technical applications. The role goes beyond development, offering the opportunity to shape operational strategies, fill cross-functional Agile roles (e.g., Business Analyst, Scrum Master), and support legacy modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and perform technical evaluations of both new and existing systems.

Create design documentation and provide accurate work estimates.

Guide and mentor teammates in understanding legacy system architecture.

Lead development efforts including coding, configuration, peer code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.

Conduct and support all phases of testing (unit, integration, UAT).

Manage defect tracking, resolution, and technical escalations.

Collaborate with tier 2 support providers and drive resolution of complex issues.

Maintain and enhance DevOps and operations toolchains.

Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and replacements.

Operate within ITIL/ITSM frameworks to ensure system stability and SLA alignment.

Deepen your understanding of business processes, rules, and system interactions.

Partner with business stakeholders to elicit and clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

Author and manage user stories and maintain a prioritized backlog.

Lead Agile ceremonies and foster adoption of Agile methodologies within the team.

Coordinate daily tasks, mentor team members, and serve as a cross-functional lead.
Required Experience:
- 5 - 10 years of IT experience
- 3 - 5 years of application development in a Microsoft environment (C#, ASP, ASP.net, JavaScript, Angular JS, T-SQL)
- 3+ years in systems analysis, software design, development, and testing
- 3+ years working in Agile/DevOps environments
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools and automation pipelines
Preferred:
- 1 - 2 years Financial Services industry
