Job Description
Required Skills for the IT Site Network Infrastructure Engineer:
Experienced individual who can work independently and has a minimum of no less than 5 years of experience
Strong knowledge in IT Networks & Infrastructure with hands-on experience working with Infrastructure equipment such as Switch, Routers, Firewalls, Controllers, etc
Proven ability to troubleshoot networking & cabling issues and physical ability to lift, rack, & stack infrastructure equipment
Must demonstrate effective combination of business acumen, organizational, leadership, project management, collaboration, interpersonal and communication capabilities
Ability to Travel from 25% to 75% depending upon demand, sometimes on short notice

IT Site Network Infrastructure Engineer Overview:
Deliver IT Connectivity Site Tech-Ops Infrastructure Services that maintain network operational continuity, enhance capabilities, & drive network project implementations for Bayer locations within the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada. Drive a variety of projects related to New Site Builds, Expansions, Reductions, Decommissions, Modifications, and Upgrades to the Physical site IT network Infrastructure in collaboration with Global & Local Partners, and other IT teams.

Responsibilities:
- Provide site connectivity infrastructure consulting & support to site facilities, Global & Local Partners, and other IT teams as needed.
- Support site network infrastructure-related Incidents and changes to ensure business continuity and adherence to applicable Client standards.
- Provide network consulting & technical support to partners when needed to mitigate disruption to critical business IT infrastructure operations.
- Lead site network infrastructure projects that involve physical site IT network infrastructure. Activities would include, but are not limited to:
o Engage & Collaborate with Business, IT, and partner teams to deliver in-scope project IT site Network Infrastructure.
o Consult & Collaborate with Project and Partner teams to design site Floor and IT room layouts to draft project network designs, bill of material, and resulting environmental requirements.
o Review & consult on site design documents as needed to ensure they meet site IT Service requirements & standards.
o Proactive Planning, communication & coordination of IT site infrastructure activities and integration with site construction PM, Facilities, Service partners.
o Coordinate & Execute in-Scope Infrastructure delivery services from design, asset procurement & configuration, through implementation, Testing, Go Live & Hypercare support activities.
o Verify LVC contractor "As-Built" Site cabling work & material aligns with original detail design and meets Client standards.
o Leverage local onsite partner techs to scale up our services. Provide consulting, direction, support, feedback, and development to ensure their service quality.
