IT Project Manager AI Implementation

Job Summary:

DaVita is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives with a strong focus on AI implementation projects. This role requires a dynamic leader with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and execution skills. The ideal candidate will possess both technical and business acumen, with experience in managing teams of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and external AI vendors.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of 2 4 large-scale, complex AI-driven IT projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
• Define project scope, develop schedules, manage budgets, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project communications and executive updates.
• Prepare and maintain project charters, schedules, communication plans, and staffing plans.
• Manage project budgets: track spend, forecast, analyze variances, and control contingency.
• Facilitate governance meetings, communicate project health, and escalate issues as needed.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and ensure delivery of business value.
• Use project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Apptio Target Process.
• Ensure risk, issue, and dependency management is proactively handled and communicated.
• Lead and inspire both internal and external project team members, promoting a results-driven and collaborative environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience managing complex IT and AI implementation projects.
• Strong experience working with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists and Data Engineers.
• Excellent executive communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple workstreams.
• Proficiency with project portfolio management tools (e.g., Apptio, Jira, Confluence).
• Financial management experience, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting (e.g., Apptio One, Excel).
• Demonstrated stakeholder and sponsor management, with influencing and negotiation skills.
• Sound business and technical acumen, able to adapt to dynamic environments.
• PMP or Agile certification strongly preferred.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI technologies.
• Experience working in a Product-Centric organization.
• Experience managing UX/User Experience projects.
• Background in managing AI vendor partnerships (from RFP to delivery).
• Exposure to emerging AI technologies and platforms.
