An employee in the engineering apprenticeship program will perform a variety of duties in the sustainment of existing products to include: assisting with engineering documentation, technical data maintenance and modification, training material maintenance, and mechanical, electrical maintenance to include grooming, upgrade, and modification of program products and test platforms. This employee will provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks to include: Systems engineering analysis, equipment installations, equipment integration and testing, post installation and sell off problem resolution, and defect prevention. Additional duties includes supporting defect or incident reports, test procedures, and documenting results; executing written test/operational procedures, and executing automated test procedures. May also assist with enterprise services to include: computer networking support/cyber security, IT system installation and maintenance, SW licensing coordination; managing FOSS requests; and network security support. Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.

The successful candidate will be working under direction of a lead engineer to advance development environments that enable Anti-Submarine Warfare systems vital to our nation's defense. Successful applicants will join a team that currently develops, delivers, and operates fully integrated solutions for military users across the globe. Candidates that have a strong desire to engage, and understand the fundamentals of engineering are highly encouraged to apply. This position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be recent high school graduate (within past 24 months) and able to work full time, 40 hours/week schedule.
- High School diploma, or equivalent
experience/combined education and less than 1 Year of experience.
- Good working knowledge of computer systems and products.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn a variety of new skills and tools.

Desired skills
- High School course in Calculus
- High School course in Computer Science
- High School course work or lab experience in
one or more of the following is highly desirable:
design, software, robotics or other competition
teams related to engineering projects.
- Basic working knowledge of Linux
- Python or Java experience

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $21,800 - $38,410. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Premium Pay Statement
