Role Responsibilities: (what they will be doing)

  • Support CDIS Development lifecycle and QA Team processes by:
  • Participate in requirements grooming and sprint planning to ensure clear understanding and traceability of user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Interpret user stories and business requirements into actionable validation criteria and data-driven test cases.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries to validate business logic, data transformations, and back-end implementation against requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team to clarify acceptance criteria and resolve requirement ambiguities.
  • Perform functional validation and support UAT, ensuring features meet business needs from both a data and UI/UX perspective.
  • Identify gaps, defects, or misalignments between implementation and business expectations through data analysis.
  • Document findings, test outcomes, and data validation results, providing concise reporting to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Support QA team in developing functional test cases and ensuring coverage of key business flows.
  • Assist in traceability matrix development, linking user stories to validation and test steps.
  • Monitor and communicate progress of data validation and test efforts, escalating issues as needed.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or business-related field, six years of experience in a role of data analysis, statistical analysis, data transformation, data reconciliation and/or sophisticated data presentation or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • Experience in ETL Development using standard tools.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse concepts and prior experience applying that understanding to query data in a Very Large Database (VLDB) environment.
  • Familiarity in using a query analysis tool.
  • Knowledge of SQL Queries.
  • Experience with SAS.
  • Experience with Python.

PlNice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences: (Hiring Manager DOES NOT require these skills/ prior experience. However, candidates with any of these will be looked at first.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s degree and 4+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, testing data analytics solutions using Python and/or MSSQL, including API testing and troubleshooting
  • Banking, Financial Services, and/or Cyber Security experience
  • Advance knowledge of Java and testing automation frameworks
